Welcome to your ADHD learning pathway

Your child has now been assessed and diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

NICE guidelines require parents and carers to complete psychoeducation before any discussions about ADHD medication. This is because supporting a child with ADHD isn’t only about medication—it often means adjusting your parenting approach too.

You have been invited to a face-to-face course and given access to the Pink Pearl Parent Academy’s online learning, which you can complete anytime, on any device.

Both must be completed before your child can be added to the ADHD medication waiting list. If these steps are not completed, your child will be discharged from Selby CAMHS.

The Pink Pearl Parent Academy also offers optional extra courses on therapeutic parenting for you to explore if you wish.
