Sexualised Behaviour: Putting Safety Plans into Practice

  • Length: 15 minutes

Course Overview

This isn’t a typical tick-box training. It’s an interactive video experience that places you right inside the decisions foster carers face when sexualised behaviour happens.

Through branching video scenarios, you’ll test your instincts, choose how to respond, and receive instant therapeutic feedback from our on-screen expert, all within a safe, reflective learning space.

You’ll move from simple to complex real-life situations, learning how to:

  • Apply our Five Pearls to calm, connect, and guide children safely.
  • Balance empathy with professional safeguarding.
  • Follow the correct procedures when incidents involve digital or in-person risk.
  • Strengthen your confidence and clarity in high-pressure moments.

Unlike traditional online courses, this isn’t about passively watching slides or even videos. You’ll interact, reflect, and learn through doing — developing muscle memory for calm, therapeutic decision-making.

This course was full of information for a foster carer on how they manage sexualised behaviour from a foster child and more importantly how to record and who to contact in regard to safeguarding.

I hope we never have to put our learning into practice, but I feel I would be able to act safely and effectively to protect the young people in my care.
