Child Sexual Exploitation: Notice, Respond, Protect - 2026 edition

  • Length: 55 mins

Course Overview

Child Sexual Exploitation can be difficult to recognise because it often hides behind ordinary-looking behaviour: gifts, secrecy, late returns, online pressure, older relationships, missing episodes, or a child suddenly becoming defensive about someone in their life.

This course helps foster parents, kinship carers, residential staff, supported lodgings hosts and teachers understand what CSE is, how exploitation can build, what warning signs may look like, and how to respond safely.

You will explore online exploitation, sextortion, AI-generated images, missing episodes, recording, safeguarding routes, and role-specific scenarios.

The focus is practical and trauma-informed: notice the pattern, stay calm, avoid blame, record clearly, share concerns early, and keep the child connected.
Because the thing we must not miss is not just the risk.

It is the child beneath the signs.

Our parents & other professionals love us

Absolutely brilliant, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was one of the best on-line safeguarding courses I have attended. The mix of direct discussion with course trainer teamed with interactive questions, use of informative short videos and exceptional links to sites that can provide you with practical advice and tools is fantastic. I've been a social worker for 22 years and have taken helpful links and strategies that I will use in my everyday practice.

So simple to follow, thought provoking and kept my interest throughout. I didn't find myself feeling frustrated or telling myself "I already know this and have heard it all before".
